How to get started?

Joining an officials association will put you in contact with officials of various ages and levels of experience. You will get first-hand insight and guidance as you begin your journey as an official.

IHSA
The IHSA is the governing body of High School Sports in the state of Illinois. You must be a licensed official through the IHSA in order to officiate any High School contest.
Many officials work JR High games, and most JR High groups (IESA, SIJHSAA..) require "patched" officials to work their contests as well.
